Outlook: Printing e-mails

As lawyers, we need to keep hard copies of e-mails. However, the icons
showing attachments (word, excel, etc) does not consistently appear on the
printed page - we need this feature as proof that an attachment was actually
sent or received.

This certainly works in Outlook 2003 SP1.
 
Yes, I have now tried that, and you are correct. However, we are not
standardised to Office 2003 - we are still Office 2000 based. Until fairly
recently, we were able to print e-mails with attachment icons showing.... I
can only assume that one or other update of Outlook 2000 removed that
facility. Does anyone have a cure???

Other messages in this forum indictate that if you change your message to
plain text (Edit>Edit Message), then the attachment names will print.
