You know, I apologize in advance but your post is exactly the kind of post
that goes unanswered. Why, you ask?
1. You do not post your version of Outlook (there are currently 5 versions
and 7 modes available at this moment)
2. You do not post your version of the Operating System.
3. You do not state on what kind of media you backed up your .pst file.
4. You do not state WHY you cannot open the .pst file
5. You do not post any error messages so we can get a good starting point.
If you included all of this information in your original post, you would
have a lot less back and forth asking for basic information and causing time
to be wasted.
Bottom line, please repost with this information and someone, maybe even me,
can help you out of your dilemma. Thanks in advance and again, sorry for
blowing your hair back. <g>

the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.
After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Dr. email asked:
| PC froze and had to open a new personal folder. Backed up original
| folder as prompted by Outlook, but cannot restore original folder
