Outlook 2003 only POP accounts ever. When I double click on outlook it opens
in offline mode. Yes it is easy to go to file>and uncheck work off line,
however I would like outlook to default to working on line, and cannot find
anything to make it do that. All the account setting seem to be the same as
all the other accounts in the office. Deleted windows messanger, and did a
scanpst. Anyone have an idea?

Is the icon a shortcut? If so, right-click it, choose properties, and post
the value of the target command.

Not a shortcut, properties gives me outlook account options.

Offhand, I can't think what might be causing what you see. Perhaps someone
else will have a suggestion.

Had the same problem and it looks like going to Tools -> Email
accounts -> View or change email accounts -> (select account) ->
Change... and then pressing Test Account Settings may have cleared it
up. Really a strange bug.
