outlook only partially installed?

I installed Office 2000 on my XP machine. I use
Outlook. It is missing "OUT of OFFICE Assistant" among
other features. It is impossible to alphabetize my
address book no matter how many times I tell it "first or
last name" to sort by. It was suggested to install
Office 2000 over what I have which I did but it has not
made a difference. Any suggestions?

You need to be using Exchange as the message transport in order to have OOA.
