Hi - I am using Outlook 2003 - I have it installed on a laptop and PC. Right
now when I open it on one computer the emails still appear on the other one
when I finally open it.

I want to configure it so when I open it on one machine it won't open on the
other - is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

Thanks Anna

Have each machine configured to not leave copies on the server. Then when you
download the messages on one, they'll be deleted from the server and will not
be there for the second PC when it's Outlook runs.

This is really the opposite of what most people want. Usually people want the
same messages on both PCs.

How do I do this - will I find it in Options?

It's on the Advanced tab of the account properties. Tools>E-mail
Accounts>Next. Select the account, click Change, then More Settings, then the
Advanced tab.
