wonder if anyone can help?
enabled the newsreader in outlook by selecting the button and adding it to
the Go menu.
tried it and it started ok.
Updated outlook from office site then restarted
opened outlook after restart -went to select newsreader and it was gone.
went into >customise taskbar to reselect it again and it is totally gone.
cant find it anywhere.
please could you help.
is it because i updated?

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Russ! I'm Very impressed. You Nailed the problem first time.
Thank you very much for the help.
I will remember that one for the next time.
God bless and once again thanks.

Also remember that http://groups.google.com/ can find info in newsgroups in
seconds. Your question could have been answered in about the time it took
you to post it in the first place.
