XP and Office 2003 - Comcast doesn't support Outlook 2003. E-mail is up and running and I'm now trying to add NewsGroups. Added "News" to the Go group and put in my name and email address, and their server address. Tired with and w/o "Server's" "This server requries me to log on"; with and w/o "Log on using Secure Password Authentication:" and "Connection's" "Always connect to this account using" both not-check and checked - and check with "Local Area Network" and "Broadband Connection". "Advanced" with and w/o "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" which sets it at 119 or (secure) 563. Using the factorial approach is getting to me...

In all cases, when I update the Newsgroups I'm gettting "Unable to connect to the server."

Just had my password reset and email works. Any tips?

Good config at http://www.broadbandreports.com/faq/7304 - but not specific to Comcast (it's Verizon) - - - > no joy.

Loaded and config'ed Xnews which gives a "10060 Connection timed out"
