OUTLOOK network access

Outlook displays an ICON on the bottom right of the status bar which seems
to say "LAN disconnected". The LAN is up, and web pages can be browsed.

I see no problem anywhere but can't get OUTLOOK connected to check mail.
Any suggestion appreciated.

Uncheck File>Work Offline.
