Can someone please explain what the subject modes are and the differences ?
When are these different modes established - at initial install time ?
Will one mode or the other stop the ability of getting Address Book emails
from the Contact list ?
Can you change from one Mode to another without re-installing Outlook ?
If I need to re-install Outlook where do I find it - On my Office install
disk ?
Please help,
Thanks,
Paul

Mode choice only applies to Outlook 98 & 2000. Try taking a peek at
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/choosingmode.htm to see if answers your
questions. Whatever comes up short, post back and I'm sure someone will
clarify.

ps - the only question that probably isn't covered is the address book
e-mail from contact list. i'm not quite sure what you asking, so you might
consider rephrasing.

Neo,

Here is my situation:

I have Outlook 2000 and right now it is setup as Internet Mail Only mode.

I have a Contact List in Outlook.

I do have Outlook set as the default Email client.

I go into MS Word 2000 and type a document and click on Sed To / Mail
Recipient and it calls up the email top screen.

When I click on the little address book to the left of TO: I see NO email
addresses to chose from, even though I have over 500 email contacts in my
contacts list.

The question is why can't I get to my contacts email addresses in the
Address Book area ?

I have another PC with the same above software loaded and the mode of the
Outlook is No Email and I do see the Outlook contacts email addresses in the
Address Book function (Little Address Book to left of TO:)

By the way in the first example above I am using IMAP, and in the second one
POP3.

Hope you can help me.

Thanks,
Paul
