Anyone figure out how to get Outlook 2003 messages into Windows Mail?
Assuming messages are on a separate computer and need to be copied via a
flash drive or something. I had no problem with OE messages or WAB/Outlook
contacts. But the Outlook e-mail messages are giving me some grief. The main
problem, of course, is that there's nothing on the Windows Mail side for
importing from files.

2 ways:
On the other machine import them into OE. Then you know how to get them
into WinMail.
Or
Install Outlook 2003 and its PST file and then WinMail should be able to
import them.

I did realize I could just import them into OE after I posted this message.
But I still haven't gotten the PST file method to work.

Outlook has to be installed on the Vista machine and using that PST folder
as its default.

Frank, I'm hesitant to move Outlook to my new machine. Is there another way
to get my messages on to the Vista machine?

On the XP computer, open Outlook Express and import from Outlook.
Copy the .dbx files and .wab file from the XP computer to the Vista
computer.
Import into Windows Mail, being careful not to open the folder containing
the .dbx files.
