Outlook "Message Received" Sound

On my new laptop WinXpPro, I have specified no
sounds. However, Outlook 2003 still beeps when
a message is received. How can I stop this?

Well if nobody can help you here, try:

microsoft.public.outlook.general

And I only use Outlook 2000 on occasion. But I seem to recall it would
beep without the sounds addon (supplied by MS website). But I believe it
was also able to be turned off too.
 
From the menu, Tools, Preferences (Tab), E-Mail options (Button)
Advanced E-mail Options, "When new Items appear" category untic
"Play a Sound".
