Outlook Mail Rues do not work on startup

Hi,
I was wondering why when I open outlook, the mail rules
don't kick in. I have a separate folder for each of my
mail accounts, so when I receive an email it goes straight
into that folder. But when outlook starts it leaves all my
emails in the original inbox, making me have to apply the
rules manually.
Any suggestions

What version of Outlook and have you applied all of the relevant Office
service packs?

the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.
