I've recently subscribed to this service and cannot find any information
about it. Any pointers anyone?

It's new so it will probably take a while. How do you like it so far.
I ask because I am considering it myself. Thanks for any input.

I'm with you on the Geoff. The only resource that I have found is "Outlook
Connector Help" from within the new"Outlook Connector" menu option.

Hi,

What kind of information are you looking for? Here are some links to get
you started (these are available from the Outlook Connector menu in Outlook):

Get Started document:

Online Tour of Outlook Live:

Let me know if you are looking for anything specific that isn't available on
those links.

Apart from some initial (now fully resolved) service issues I am absolutely
delighted with my subscription so far. My primary objective was to have
something that would synchronize my desktop and laptop contacts without
necessarily bringing the two machines together on the same network. Done
with aplomb. Excellent mail, calendar, tasks syncing too.

There are some other features that I would like and some better guides. Is
the an Outlook Live forum in existence or perhaps a Newsgroup specifically
for Outlook Live?

Yep very good service, no complaints at all. What have they taken out of the
retail Outlook to make the subscription version a 65MB download?
Very satisfied
I'll try the links you provided Tara, thanks

The one thing I found very useful was the ability to import my PST calendar
into the hotmail/ mool calendar. I didn't see docs on this- but its easy,
Just click on your mool calendar. thenfile menu/ import export/ pst and
select the pst that contains the calendar you want to import. Now THATS
useful!

Guys, I have been trying to find some information out on how to sync multiple
email accounts and sync stored mail that i have in a PST file on my PC onto
my live account for easy access anywhere.....Can you tell me if this is
possible please???

you can't sync multiple accounts- only the hotmail account. You can import
PST data into any of the hotmail folders (which will be synchronized) using
the info I provided in my previous post. mw

Hi
I sync serveral pop3 accounts to my hotmail account. As pop3 mail is
downloaded my my pc, it is stored in the hotmail container which in turn is
syncronised with my hotmail account. It means that I have to leave my pc on
24x7 if I want access whilst I am away.

Hi all,

I cannot get MOOL to default to sending from my pop3 account. It always
defaults to the hotmail account, regardless of which account you "set as
default" under "Tools-->>E-mail accounts." Of course, while composing an
e-mail I can change to (having the message sent from) the pop account. But
thats not what I want. I want the new message to default to being sent from
the pop account. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? I have already tried
deleting the profile, starting again from scratch. Nothing I have tried
works? Otherwise, I am very happy with MOOL. I am using only the hotmail
store-- no other PST files. TIA for any remedy. mw

Did you have any import/export issues, namely, that MOOL says Outlook Live
must be reinstalled? I have followed the instructions from an MS support
agent to no avail. He's 14 time zones away, so the time lag is ridiculous.
He's been unresponsive all week. So, I reinstalled my OS -- wiping out all my
applications and settings -- and only installed Outlook 2003 (Live) (since
the agent was thinking it was other Office app conflicts) and still
import/export will not function. Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? :)

Yes I get exactly the same error message.

After an hour talking on the telephone with Redmond, tech support learned
that the import/export failure is a known issue. The MOOL team is working on
it.

Now why it takes an hour for tech support to learn an issue is known is a
whole 'nother matter.
