Outlook Keeps Breaking

I need some help with the following outlook problem.

I have 2 pc both running outlook 2002. Box are XP home editions.

Every time I start outlook, it will download the mail then outlook
will lock up. It does this on both pc's.

I have reinstalled it, I have run the repair tool on it and nothing
seems to help.

Any thoughts?

The first thing to do is to find out if it's an add-in causing the problem.
Start Outlook with the /safe command line switch and see if the problem
still occurs. Click Start>Run and enter

"%ProgramFIles%\Microsoft Office\Office10\Outlook.exe" /safe

including the quotes and spaces.
 
I have disabled the items you mentioned. So far so good. Outlook
seems to be working okay. I had spamguard enabled. I have not had a
chance to check my other pc yet. I'll keep you posted.
