I installed outlook 2000 for a corporate enviorment and didn't want it that
way for a personal computer. now I don't have any outlook shortcuts and get
an error message that outlook can't start because it can't find a folder for
sending and receiving mail. I found how to add the folder in the control
panel. but I just don't want the corporate enviorment.

If you want to use Internet Mail Only mode, open Outlook (sounds like you
can, now) and go to tools, options. Find the "Reconfigure Mail Support"
button (I forget which tab) and click it - make sure you have your
Outlook/Office installation media handy.
