Outlook Inbox Problem

Whenever I try to access my Inbox, an error message appears stating that
Outlook encountered a problem and must close. I can receive e-mail into my
Inbox and send an e-mail from Outlook, but cannot access the Inbox without
the error message appearing. I actually have four messages in my Inbox that
I cannot currently view.

All other folders, i.e., Calendar, Contacts, Sent Messages, etc. work fine.

Version of Outlook + SP level? What is logged to the Event Viewer?

Tips of the month:
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data
-Creating a Permanent New Mail Desktop Alert in Outlook 2003

Thanks for the reply. The version of Outlook is 2002. I have SP1, not SP2,
as SP@ renders my PC and laptop incomptabile with my Netgear router/wireless
card. Netgear advised not to install SP2 - they were working with MS to fix.

I had this Outlook problem once before about 14 months ago. At that time, I
posted on this site and the reponse I received suggested (from my weak
memory) that I back-up to a *.pst, create a new profile, and import the *.pst
into the new profile. I think this is what I was told to do. Whatever I did
do worked fine until just two days ago.

He didn't mean WIndows XP SP1 or 2, he meant what Outlook SP level.

So, did you try it again?
