Outlook Inbox problem

A weird thing is happenng in the last 2 weeks- when I reply to an e-mail the original e-mail sent to me disappears from my inbox!!
The reply and original are in my Sent items.
What is going on and how can I stop it!

Change your view from "Unread Messages" to "Messages" and see if that helps.

What version of Outlook?
Is the actual original message actually moved to the Sent folder or is it
just the quoted text on the reply that you are referring to > The reply and
original are in my Sent items.
