How do I get rid of the icon that pops up in the tray when I load Outlook.
The one that contains the messages ... Show network warnings ... show
network connectivity, ect. Thanks for any help here.
JB

You can set it to never show using the options for windows notification tray
but you can remove it.

Right click on start menu - choose properties. select taskbar tab. click
Customize button - locate outlook and set it to always hide.

(as an FYI for other reading this ">> but you can remove it"... was supposed
to be CAN'T remove it - outlook doesn't offer an option not to show it.)

I did fine the option, but it is apparently broke! I could not get the icon
to disappear even when selecting the "always hide" option.

Funny thing ... none of the settings for the tray will hold. Now that is
strange! I have XP home with sp1 installed. Any further help would be
appreciated
