I have just got a new laptop and am using wireless for the first time (I don't know if this has something to do with my issue). I would like to know how to set up my outlook so that it receives as soon as I open it. In the past, with older versions, that has always been the way... until now. I must manually click on "send/receive" to get new email now. I can't see how to change this setting, as I have done before in other versions. Can I still set up my email so that new mail opens upon startup?

I have already: Launch Outlook | Tools | Options | Mail Setup tab | Checked off i
Send/Receive: "Send immediately when connected."... and still nothing
Thanks much

I assume that you are using OXP and above.

Have a checked on "send immediately when connected". Click
on "Send/Receive" button that next to the checkbox.

Under portion outlook is online or offline, checked
on "schedule an automatic send/receive every xx minutes"
(xx - select 5 or 10 min)

This should works! Gd luck.
