Hi,

Is it possible to block a HOTMAIL sender sending to an Outlook (normal)
address.......

What I mean is will it work in the Outlook rules so that Outlook
automatically deletes an email form a specified Hotmail account?

Thanks -

A quick response will be appreciated....

Hi,

You need to create a new rule in outlook. Don't use the rule templates,
create your rule from scratch. Before creating the rule you will need to
record the hotmail account as a personal contact so that it can be added to
the rule.

If you mean all hotmail accounts, then that might be trickier.

No - I mean ust a single hotmail acount.....!

How do I do it from scratch?

Thanks in advance

Outlook 2003

Step 1 (Create Contact)
-Create a new contact for the hotmail account you need to create the rule
for.

Step 2 (Create Rule)
-Tools
-Rules and Alerts
-New Rule
-Tick 'Start From Blank'
-Select 'Check Messages When They Arrive'
-Next
-Tick 'from People or distribution list'
-Select 'from people or distribution list'
-Add the contact you created above
-OK
-Next
-Tick 'Delete it'
-Finish

Job done....

Works a treat.

Many thanks

you don;t need to create a contact - just type in the address.
