Hi Guys
When I try to load MS Outlook 2003 I get this message.

Cannot start MS Outlook, Unable to open Outlook window. The set of folders
could not be opened. The server is not available.

This is a stand alone machine with XP Pro

I have cleaned out and the reloaded MS Office 2003 but it still appears.

I do not have a network so what is causing this problem?

Any help would be appreciated .

You would need to set up a mail account in Outlook as they (OE and Outlook
2003) are separate programs and use different transports. Do you have a
mail account installed in Outlook 2003? Control Panel-Mail Icon is where
you can set up a new account.

Mercury if you RTFQ then you will see that I want to use Outlook but it will
not let me.

So if I have a problem with Outlook I assume that the Outlook newsgroup is
the correct newsgroup.

If you have nothing constructive to say then say nothimg..........

Thanks for you input

No offence but... if you are using an "Outlook Express" mail account, you aren't using "Outlook" and Mercury is correct.

Now... if you really are using Outlook, the mail and PIM program, what kind of email accounts did you add to your profile?
