I have a huge message clogging my inbox. Consequently (although I have a high-speed connection), nothing is received. Is there a way to delete large messages from the server before downloading them? My old mail server (Pegasus) gave me that option by simply allowing me to preview the message headers and the size of the message.

Thanks for your response.

You can try the Inbox Repair Tool. Look it up in Help or find it at C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 Or use this method: The way to prevent this from happening is to limit downloaded messages in Send/receive, Settings, Define send Groups. It's in help under Stop downloading lg messages. You can also set it to download only headers for large messages there. PS This is for Outlook 2003, but all versions have similar settings.

Which version of outlook? There is the remote mail option and you can
download only headers using send and receive settings... but it's often
easier to log in using a web interface (http://www.mailstart.com/) or use a
program like eremover (http://eremover.bizhosting.com/) or magic mail
(http://www.geeba.org/magic/)
