I have been using Outlook 200 successfully for years, and for some reason now
I can open it, but whenever it tries to do anything, such as download mail
from my Comcast server, the little send and receive icon moves as if it is
trying to download something (and in fact, it does know how many messages are
on the server since it says things like "Receiving 1 of 4 messages") but it
never completes. If you look at it on the Task Manager, it is non-responding
and has to be forceably shut down. This happens when you try to do anything,
such as just open a message in the Inbox - it doesn't open the message and it
goes into it's non-responding state. Basically anything you click on in the
tool bar also hangs it up. Why would this start happening all of a sudden?
I tried even doing a repair/reinstall to no avail. I also tried going to my
online Comcast mailbox and deleting all the messages off the server to make
sure it just wasn't some huge file stopping everything up. Help!! It is
unusable now.
