Outlook hang everytime reply message

I am using Windows XP S2 and I having a problem everytime I ran my microsoft
outlook 2000 edition. I am not able to reply a message. Rebooting the system
fixed the problem. This problem is not always, there are times that I used my
system perfectly and after a few hours, the problem persist.

Question: What are the things we need to look closer to solve the issue? is
there any patch or programs running in the system that affect this problem?
