I have created a message form for new Hires. I have it set to route. When
the form is filled out and routed, the next person on the list can open the
form and fill out the form and as soon as they press the route button they
get an error saying This form could not be displayed. I have cleared the
forms cache added a registry change. Cleared all the areas for forms. I
have even deleted the form and recreated from scratch...same error every
time. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

All I can suggest is that you apply Office 2003 Service Pack 1 if you haven't already.

What in particular did you do to set this form to route? Maybe that will provide more clues.

Already SP1. In the actions section Enabled is Yes, I have the Action name
set to Route, create form of type is the name of the hire form. Address from
like is set to Forward, when responding is set to include orgianal message
text.

If you haven't already, you might want to try the ForceFormReload registry value. Details in the KB.

If that fails, it might be time to consider filing a support incident.

That was the registry change I was referring to in my origianl message. I
did get the error to go away but now it won't automatically route, when you
press the route button it takes you to the main page of the message to add
users. AAAHHH!!!!

So the Route action is not displaying the Hire form? Is the "main page of the message to add users" another form? Sorry, but it's just a little hard to follow exactly what's happening.

When you first open the form, the main page has where you can add the users
to route the message. The second page has the new hire infomration and the
third page has the IT section for the IT depart to put in the users login
information and permissions. When the HR person adds the users and fills out
the form and presses send it goes to the IT person. When the IT person fills
out his/her section and presses the route button instead of going to the next
person on the list it opens up the form again with a blank to field where
they can add people to send to. Everything looks fine and this form worked
perfectly under Office XP, when we upgraded to 2003 that is when all the
problems started. I have rebuilt the form the exact same way I did it in XP.
Not sure why it is doing this. I used the Route Message download form from
slipstick.com as a template, renamed the form and still not routing.

Is the IT person reading the form in their own Inbox or is there a group IT inbox? The reason I ask is that Outlook 2003, by default, does not run code for items that are in other users's mailboxes.
