Outlook folders on desktop won't delete

Don't ask me how, but I was using Outlook 2007 and managed by accident to
create an Outlook Contacts and and Outlook Calendar folders on my desktop.
They still exist in my user/docunets folder as well (they are not shortcuts).
I cannot delete them. If i drag to Recycle, they re-appear in seconds. What's
up with this???
