Strange it terminates fine on a low powered laptop under XP Pro RC2. 2162
(also connected to another SBS2k3 domain with ES2k3 SP1).

You can quit it; it asks do I want deleted stuff emptied out, I say yes and
yet the program continues to run in the systray.

I have to go into task manager to kill it; this sometimes causes me to have
to rebuild the pst file.

I have this connected to a SBS2k3 box which is a DC and has Exchange Server
2003 SP1. Installed SP1 recently which made no difference; as in, this has
been going on a long time.

Anyone?

1) get http://www.sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout it'll make life easier
while you try to figure the problem out.

2) do you have any addins that access outlook files?

3) find and delete *.srs.

Here's what we know so far:

Hey Diane!

Will follow through on your suggestions.

FWIW, I added the Lookout 1.2 add-in yesterday and now it closes just fine.

Does that make any sense?

<VBG>

Regards!

It makes no sense, but maybe it causes something else to let go of the
outlook data.. which allows outlook to close properly.

Also forgot I had a PDA (PocketPC) being synched to this desktop.

So I renamed those 2 files... wondered if I should as it now seems to
work... not one failed close yet...

Argg!

SRS files? Those are send and recieve settings - if you customized your send
and recived settings, renaming them back to the original name will restore
your settings, but if you used hte defaults, you can delete them.

Don't recall having made any changes...
