I was wondering if there was a way to sort incomming
messages. I would like to have email from people that are
listed in my address book go into my inbox and have email
that is not listed in my address book go into another
folder (that I have created). Is this possible? I am
currently using the "message rules" option for blocking of
spam email (which sends the unwanted email into
my "deleted items" folder). I think I could use this for
my sorting of incomming messages, but I would think there
would be an easy way of doing so. Anyone have thoughts on
this matter?

Awaiting a reply,
Best

Outlook Express questions belong in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

I'm a new user and trying to find help with outlook express....then saw the
reply below to use an Outlook express newsgroup....If this is not for OE,
can you please help me and others to get there? Thanks!

Search for newsgroups.
If you're using OE as your news reader - select Newsgroups - type
outlookexpress in the box at the top. Then scroll through the entries til
you find the one that suits you. eg:
microsoft.public.windows.intexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
then select Subscribe

I am unable to locate the Outlook Express newsgroup.
Where can I find it?

Thank you K. :-)

Wrong URL. You're apparently not using Outlook Express as your newsgroup
reader, but using a browser instead. You might want to consider switching
to Outlook Express. It's a better interface that the web interface.

blic.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress&SLCID=US&ICP=GSS3&sd=GN&id=fh;e

There are also newsgroups of

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress

depending on your version of Outlook Express. Just replace the "NewsGroup"
parameter value with the appropriate newsgroup name in the URL.
