Outlook Express

HELP! I have lost two folders in my outlook express that
has very important emails in them. Where in the WORLD
could they have gone. They were there one second, and
gone the next.

Folders missing? Double-click Deleted Items folder in Folders pane. Are
the folders there? Drag 'em back to where you want them.

Messages in these folders missing? Start here:

Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose. Disable Background Compacting and
frequently perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working
offline". More at http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/maintain.htm.

Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
