Open Windows Explorer
Click Tools on the toolbar
Click Folder Options
Click File Types
Then scroll down and select:
(NONE) URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol
Then click Edit ( Advanced ) depending on your Windows version
Select Open
Click Edit
Application used to perform this action" should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %1
(Check the path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the
double quotes.)
DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have: In Some
Cases You May Have To Uncheck DDE IF It Is Checked
Then on the rest of the form fill
in fields 2 and 4 as noted below:
#1 dde msg:
(leave blank)
#2 application:
IExplore
#3 dde app:
(leave blank)
#4 topic:
SYSTEM
close/exit/retry your email links.

Can't click a link in a message.
I used to be able to click a link in an email and go direct to that
site. Now, when I click a link, nothing happens.
What's changed?
