outlook express

Need information on how to keep outlook express from
opening mail when I highlight. Would like the option of
deleting unwanted email without opening.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you are refering to the Preview Pane, try this...In OE, go to
View>Layout. Uncheck the option(s) you don't want in the Preview Pane
section and click OK.

Tools / Options / Read tab; uncheck "Automatically download message when
viewing in the Preview Pane"
