This newsgroup is oriented towards Microsoft Access, which
is a database system for the PC. There might be some folks here
that can help you but you really should subscribe to the:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
There should be a way for you to subscribe to newsgroups,
using Outlook Express. I don't know if this is true for the Mac
though.
Generally the way email is set up, you'd go into the Accounts,
Mail, then Add Mail Account. Usually the fully email address
is put in the textbox that asks for the account information/email.
Then you will need to know the name of your email servers.
Usually the name is something like:
mail.domainname.com
where domainname is the name of the domain your email goes
through.
You'll likely have to configure the setting for the POP3 server and
the SMTP server. You'll need to contact your email carrier to
find that information out. Much better to do that, and then they'd
be able to tell you how to configure the information as well.
In addition to the email account name, the pop3 server, and the
smtp server, you'll need to know what your password is, and
passwords may or may not be case sensitive. Usually passwords
are case sensitive but the email account name isn't.
Would be horrible to think you have a friend with an email address
of (e-mail address removed) and then get a message from
(e-mail address removed) and then realize later on that they are two
different peoples.
Hope this has been somewhat helpful.
