can anyone tell me what the difference between Outlook Express and Microsoft
Outlook is?

I am trying to sync my email (contacts etc.) with a new Palm Treo phone and
I think I may need M.O. instead of O.E., but I am not sure what the
difference is or how to fix it!

Thanks!

Outlook is not a newsreader - you need Outlook Express to continue to read
these newsgroups.

The Treo syncs with Outlook which is a different program from Outlook
Express. It can be purchased seperately or with Microsoft Office. Outlook is
a PIM as well as an email program. You can use the Palm Desktop instead of
Outlook to manage appointments etc. on your pc.

OE is a mail and newsgroup reader and writer. Periode!

Outlook is a mail reader and writer with an advanced PIM, i.e. a Personal
Information Manager.
You know a program where you keep an close eye on you contacts, calendar,
tasks and meetings and so forth and so on...
As a matter of fact actually :-)

[[Note While it may appear that Outlook 2003 does have newgroup support,
when you launch the newsreader, it actually opens in an Outlook Express
window.]]
