No upgrade. You can export your messages from OE to Outlook, though. I
would suggest that you research this more in an Outlook, not an OE forum.

Outlook Express comes with XP and earlier versions of Windows. Outlook
is a part of Microsoft Office and must be purchased.

"Upgrade" is not really the appropriate word. Although some people
think of Outlook as Outlook Express's big brother, that's really very
inaccurate, and Microsoft has confused the issue by giving two such
different programs such similar names. These are two very different
programs, with different sets of functions. Outlook Express is an
E-mail client and newsreader. Outlook is a Personal Information
Manager. They overlap in only one area--they both do E-mail.

Outlook Express is a component of Windows, and is free. Outlook is
commercial software for sale. It can be bought either by itself or as
part of Microsoft Office.

No, there is no "upgrade." In fact if you buy and install Outlook,
Outlook Express remains. Many people need both because they use
Outlook for its Personal Information Manager functions and E-mail, and
use Outlook Express as a newsreader.

FWIW. In the same manner I find lots of people getting confused between
Internet Exporer and Explore (which is often referred to as Explorer).
Again the similar names for completely different uses confuses some people.
