I use Outlook Express for my mail thru RoadRunner. The mail comes thru ok, you can see the subject, date, etc, but the body of the message is empty. The 'hour glass' will stay up forever. Call RR and everything on their end apprears ok. Any suggestions?

Several possible fixes.

In OE: Go to Tools>Options>Read>Fonts: Change the default encoding setting
to Western (ISO). And in IE: Delete the Temporary Internet Files, including
all offline content.

If that doesn't resolve it:

Go to: Start>Run>Type: regsvr32 inetcomm.dll - Press: Enter.
{Thanks to Jim Pickering}

If still no joy:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q318378
Method #2 has been successful for many.

Bruce,

Is that Western European (ISO)???

Yes. But the Start>Run option will probably be the fix.

Bruce, Bruce , Bruce!!! It worked.....I can't thank you enough!!! I've been SO frustrated looking at all the help(less) forums. You are a lifesaver....thanks again!

Penny

You're welcome. :-)

It's a new problem and the resolution is only a few days old. Still not sure
what is causing it. Maybe doing an update without turning off your A/V, but
still trying to find the reason.
