outlook express to outlook

i have both outlook express and outlook on my computer.
I want to make outlook my defalt email.(did go to 'tools/opt/general/make ol
my defalt email') but my mail still goes to OE. What do I do to stop my mail
from going to OE????? (e-mail address removed)
 
Remove your mail account from OE.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Like Milly says, or if you want to leave your account in OE, just uncheck
"Include this account when checking for new messages" on the account
properties page.
