Outlook Express Templates

All of a sudden the emails templates I have saved for regular use are opening
as sent messages instead on new messages. Can anyone suggest why this has
happened?
 
Your problem is caused by a Windows Update.
This is from another post:

If removing KB911567 resolved your problem, then once you have things back
in order, turn off your anti-virus and download KB911567 again, and after a
reboot, download this patch again, also with your A/V turned off. Reboot
once again. Sometimes, your anti-virus can prevent a clean install of
Windows updates.

This patch addresses some of the issues that were caused by KB911567.

Address Book problems.
Unsent templates appearing as sent.
Manually compacting will now reset the registry counter to Zero in WinXP/SP2
and also sends a copy of your dbx files to the recycle bin as a temporary
backup.

To complete the fix for .eml templates, a registry change is needed. See:

I removed KB 911567 several months ago when it came out. It certainly caused
me problems in OE but not that particular one. However, I had today
downloaded the patch KB918766 to try and correct something else altogether so
I have just removed that and am back to normal.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
