I'm having issues with my Outlook Express 6. I run on XP. The problem is I can't see any of my emails in Outlook, not in the preview pane or when I double click to open the messages. I've made sure that all my settings are correct, so has my host, and everything appears right. Again, whatever I have tried I still can not physically see to read my email. I have to go into properties/message source to actually be able to read them which is a rediculous pain. Please help if you have had this porblem or know how to fix it. Thank you.

Several possible fixes.

Go to: Start>Run>Type in: regsvr32 inetcomm.dll - Press: Enter.

If that doesn't solve it:

In OE: Go to Tools>Options>Read>Fonts: Change the default encoding setting
to Western European (ISO). And in IE: Delete the Temporary Internet Files,
including all offline content.

If still no joy:

BRUCE YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! Thank you so very much, mil gracias! The regsvr32 inetcomm.dll worked. If you don't mind, what is it exactly, what did it do? Also thanks to Carey and Jerry for their time and consideration to my problem, very appreciative of that.

This problem only started recently. The cause isn't even known for sure, but
speculation is Malware, Spyware etc. That fix was found by MS-MVP Jim
Pickering. I'm not sure exactly what it does to fix the problem. Just
passing it along.

I see, that's quite aggrivating. It works like a charm, but now I have a new problem. Isn't that always the case? When I restart or turn my computer on again it's as if nothing had ever been fixed. So, it's not being saved correctly or something I guess. Any clue on that?

So far, it's either been the fix, or not. Nobody has had what you're
describing now. Try the other fixes too. I've never had the problem myself.

the "regsvr32" command told the dll file "inetcomm.dll" to perform its
standard, built-in "initialize your registry settings" subcommand, thus
the dll re-built all the registy entries it requires so that other
software components (COMs) can properly "find" and then "talk" to it.
Thus, any damaged registry entries were fixed, and volia, it works again.

look up regsvr32 in Help and Support for (lots) more info.
