Outlook Express NOT DISABLING SAVE ATTACHMENTS even though it`s TICKED

Hi,

I am using Outlook Express 6 with WindowsXP Pro. I have noticed that " do
not allow attachments to be opened and saved " is ticked but i can still
access the files. How do i lock this down ? I am afraid otherwise that a
nasty virus will get through.

I have AVG installed and Sygate Firewall also. Help please.

+ "that could potentially contain a virus"

If the attachement is not a file that can be executed (exe, doc, vbs
etcetera), then it will be allowed.
Try sending yourself a file (a dummy will do) as an attachment that has an
'exe' or 'doc' extention, it should then be blocked.
