Outlook express not completing receipt of emails

Out look express 6.0 says receiving message 1 of 5 but never completes. This
had been working until 2 days ago.

Could be a corrupted e-mail is causing your mail server to hiccup. When
it gets to sending that message, it fails and your client times out.
Use the webmail interface to your mailbox, read the messages, and delete
them (or just the one that OE gets stuck on). Then see if OE works
thereafter.
 
I tried the webmail interface and I have the same results. Some additional
information. I have the same email account coming into another computer with
Outlook and don't have the problem. I just can't get the messages on the one
computer.

Did you DELETE the messages while using the webmail interface and then
send some test e-mails to check if Outlook started working?

Have you tried disabling the e-mail scanning feature of your anti-virus
software?
