Outlook Express - new mail is in yellow helvetic font

Hi,

Whenever I start a new email, the font is yellow helvetica and I have to
change it manually. I've checked all of the settings that I'm aware of and I
should be in black Times Roman or Arial. While I'm a patient chap, I'm
starting to pull my hair out now and I don't have much left!

Any ideas?

not quite the correct news group but :> ......

email settings are under tools>options>compose>font settings ...what are
yours set to ?
