Outlook Express Identity Overwritten by Detto Intellimover

I used Detto Intellimover to copy my Outlook Express
messages from my old computer running Windows 98 SE to my
new computer running Windows XP Professional. My
identity was changed from Jan Matusak to Jan Matusak -
Backup. The messages I had received on my new computer
prior to using Intellimover have disappeared as has my
original identity. Is it possible to find on my hard
drive these messages which have disappeared?

Hi Jan,

See if this helps:

1. Start/Run/Regedit
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
3. Look for subkeys other than S-1-5-18, S-1-5-19, S-1-5-20 that contains
ProfileImagePath=%systemroot%\system32\config\systemprofile
4. Change it to "%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\username
5. Close regedit.
6. Logout and Login.

I tried your routine. The subkeys other than those you
mentioned had "%SystemDrive%\Documents and
Settings\username. None had =%systemroot%\system32
\config\systemprofile. Any other suggestions?
