Outlook Express -- how to restore from older version...

I have recently reloaded a system with Outlook 2000 and fully service packed
it. I did take a full backup of the PC prior to doing this, but neglected to
export the Outlook Express account settings, address book, and mail. I
believe the version was 5.0 or 5.5. I do know where the database files for
my identies are, but am having a hard time importing this into my new Outlook
Express 6.0 or Outlook 2000 mail program. I would like to, ultimately,
utilize Outlook rather than Outlook express.

Does anyone have any pointers on how I can retrieve this information short
of trying to install the older version and export it? Any help would be
appreciated.

Outlook Express files are *.dbx They are hidden and you will need to set
Show all Files to access them

If you were previously using OE you need to import data into OE on the new
sys, 'prior' to exporting from OE to OL (on new sys)
