Outlook express get message

Hi,

i have a question about microsoft outlook...

does anybody knows how i can get a sound when a mail is
arriving ??? all the options set correctly,but have to
open outlook to check for mail???
Who can help me with this prob???

I wouldn't stake my life on this but I would think that the OE would have to
be running to know that you got mail. Why not just bring it up and minimize
it.
