My main email isn't working (@shaw.ca) because of this error. I have no idea
what it means but it's been going on for the past few days (a week almost).

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'shawmail', Server:
'127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Port: 5100, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:

Set up an account using Outlook Express.

Step by step instructions to set up a newsgroup.

http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/resources.htm#setupmsnews
Or:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/directory/worldwide/en-gb/newsout.asp
Or:
http://home.earthlink.net/~fightingfinn/nntp_posting.html
Almost everything you could think to ask:
http://home.mchsi.com/~resident.resident/newsgroups.htm

It is highly recommended that you enter a fictitious e-mail address
when setting up an account to avoid receiving Spam or worse. Ex.
(e-mail address removed). Your real address is not needed to post to a
newsgroup.
