Outlook Express email shortcut doesn't work

E-mail Shortcut on the Windows XP Start Menu No Longer
Works After I Removed Microsoft Office. On the Tools
menu, click Internet Options. I then tried to do the
following to correct the problem (per Microsoft's
internet site):
Click the Programs tab.
Under the list of Internet programs, select Outlook
Express in the E-mail list.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
But, when I do this, I don't have anything at all left in
my E-mail list to choose from. I can run Outlook Express
independently from Internet Explorer just fine but I
can't ever use a shortcut on an intenet page to open my
Outlook Express.

The shortcut on your Start Menu probably pointed to Outlook instead of
Outlook Express. When you uninstalled Office, you uninstalled Outlook,
and the shortcut broke.

In addition, somehow your Registry entry for Outlook Express has been
corrupted or lost.
