Outlook Express. . .can't get mail ! !

I have "outlook express 5". . .I've been running ok for a
couple of years. All of sudden. .when prompt tries to
recieve mail,I get an error " This program has performed
an illegal operation and will be shut down". "If persists
contact program vendor".

Isp says it has nothing to do with mail server. . .???

any thoughts ?
 
You will get more responses if you post this to a Outlook Express group
instead of a Outlook group. The ISP is correct. You might have some corrupt
files, why not just download the free version 6 of OE ?

Because, as the OP already said, they're using Windows 95. OE6 won't run on
W95.
