Outlook Express Attachment Nightmare

A while back I went to send someone a rather large file (6mb) as an OE attachment. When I hit send OE was obviously straining to find, gather, prepare or whatever, the attachment and never actually got around to sending it. Now this email and attachment are in the outbox trying to be sent but unable to. If I open OE and walk away and leave it to try, I can return hours later to find nothing has happened. If I hit send OE stops responding and I get the "End Now?" box. If I go to my outbox and highlight the email OE stops responding and I get the "End Now?" box. If I hit delete OE stops responding and I get the "End Now?" box. If I highlight the outbox folder and right click I am NOT given the option to delete the folder and/or OE stops responding and I get the "End Now?" box. And so on and so on :( I have searched high and low throughout my computer trying to find a way to the outbox without opening OE but without success. All I want to do is delete this #$@%*^& email and forget it. Any help or suggestions will be recieved with eternal gratitude. TIA Paul
 
Not sure if this will help but go to tools and accounts. Click properties on
the account you are using and then click on the advanced tab. Down where it
says sending, check the box that says break apart messages and set it to
maybe 500K. Then close and try to send the large email again. It should
break it up into separate smaller emails and send it.
