Outlook Express 6 double messages

outlook express 6 is downloading my messages twice how can i correct this? also on occassion when closing i recieve an error message (msimn.ex: application error instruction at 0x077f58dc2c referenced memory at 0x009a4e28 memory could not be written) what does this mean and how can i fix it?
 
For duplicate messages, are you using Hotmail? Try this anyway:

Tools>Options>General tab. Uncheck either: When starting, go directly
to my Inbox folder or, Send and receive messages at startup.

The other, I can't help you with. Try OE NG:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
