First off, when I open Outlook, the message comes up- "To check for updates,
you must have admin account privelagea on you computer", which I do...so,
can't figure that one out. Also, when I click on an email link in a message
or website Outlook will not not start ...stating (0x800C0155) MaW.Mail is
currently being used by another program, such as a virus scanner.
I have closed my virus program, re-opened WM, but it still will not allow me
to open a new email link..

You've mentioned both Outlook and WM, only the latter is under
purview of this newsgroup. What exactly is your issue with
Windows Mail?

Outlook issues should be referred to an Outlook newsgroup.

I use Outlook..all my mail defaults are set to Outlook...but when I try to
use an email link, the Windows Mail error comes up, I am unable to link to
the address threw Outlook.

Verify that Outlook has all its defaults, especially MailTo.
Go to Default Programs, which you can reach either from the
Start menu or the Control Panel,
then click the first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds a list of programs comes up.
Click on Outlook. If all is well, it will respond
"This program has all its defaults."
If it reports less than all of its defaults, fix it by selecting
one of the options.
